SACRAMENTO — The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is hiring for dozens of tax auditor positions across its Southern California offices — Cerritos, Diamond Bar, Glendale, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Ana, and Ventura.

Candidates with degrees in business, finance, and accounting — or the necessary courses – are encouraged to register for a three-day job fair in Diamond Bar beginning on April 14. Recent college graduates, students graduating with a degree in accounting or finance, and others who meet the educational requirements are encouraged to apply.

Date: April 14-16, 2026
Time: Tuesday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday: by appointment
Location: 21680 Gateway Center Drive, Suite 200, Diamond Bar, CA 91765 (Free Parking)
Registration: CDTFA Hiring Event – Diamond Bar Spring 2026

Job seekers will learn about CDTFA's current openings, take the state's Tax Auditor exam, apply for available positions, and possibly interview at the event. CDTFA recruiters will also discuss career opportunities and the benefits of working for the State.

All qualified applicants will be invited to interview on site for available positions. Some could even receive a conditional job offer the same day.

Qualified candidates include those with an accounting or finance degree, students preparing to graduate with an accounting or finance degree, or individuals who have completed certain accounting courses.

While registration is not required, those who register in advance will receive an invitation to a pre-event meeting covering event logistics. Job seekers can apply now at CalCareers.ca.gov.
