Direct Transmit Program
The Direct Transmit Program is offered by the CDTFA to provide additional electronic filing flexibility using Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Extensible Markup Language (XML) technologies. This program provides certified participants the ability to transmit tax and fee data over the Internet using various software or web applications without requiring data to be entered manually in the CDTFA's online filing system. This flexibility provides efficiency to participants who file complex or multiple returns, schedules, and/or reports in a reporting period. Applicants must have a working knowledge of XML and understand the business rules and requirements established by the CDTFA in order to become a Direct Transmitter.
Interested parties must submit a completed application to enroll in the Direct Transmit Program and the account(s) that will be submitted must be eligible to file online.
