Amendments to Regulation 3801, Cannabis Excise Tax and Cannabis Retailer Excise Tax Permit

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration amended Regulation 3801, Cannabis Excise Tax and Cannabis Retailer Excise Tax Permit to amend the subsequent adjustment year for cannabis excise taxes and add the July 1, 2025 to October 1, 2025 cannabis excise tax rate. The revisions make the regulation consistent with the provisions of Revenue and Taxation Code section 34011.2 as amended by Assembly Bill 564 (Stats. 2025, ch. 127).
