California Department of Tax and Fee Administration Seeks Chief Financial Officer Applicants

Sacramento – The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking applicants for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This executive level position is located in Sacramento.

The CFO will be responsible for managing and administering the overall financial and data activities of the CDTFA, and will serve as a key member of the Executive Management team. The CFO will report to the Director/Chief Deputy Director and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the CDTFA.

The CFO's day-to-day responsibilities include the planning, managing, controlling and implementation of all financial and data-related activities, including direct responsibility for accounting, revenue estimating, tax rate and fee setting, financial and statistical forecasting, finance, budgeting, processing and preparing management reports for both audit and compliance activities, as well as, performance management reporting.

Additionally, the CFO will provide executive leadership on the design and implementation of improved CDTFA fiscal systems, and consult with a variety of private and public entities, state and local government agencies, taxpayers, and the public.
