CDTFA Postpones All In-Person Education Classes, Workshops, and Seminars
Other Educational Options Will Be Offered to Assist Tax and Feepayers
Sacramento – All California Department of Tax and Fee Administration's (CDTFA) in-person classes across the state have been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date to ensure the health and safety of CDTFA's customers and team members and to support social distancing safety measures as a result of COVID-19.
"This is a difficult time for everyone. Our focus is to offer assistance to the public while keeping people safe, " said Director Nick Maduros. "Our call centers are still open, our website is being updated with online classes, and we have a variety of industry guides to help people find answers to their questions. "
Taxpayers needing assistance may watch Online Seminars on the CDTFA website at www.cdtfa.ca.gov. The Customer Service Center remains available to assist taxpayers with sales and use, fuel, tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis tax questions and filing assistance and can be reached at: 1-800-400-7115. Taxpayers can also email the department with general questions.

Information about California's COVID-19 efforts.
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) administers California's sales and use, fuel, tobacco, alcohol, and cannabis taxes, as well as a variety of other taxes and fees that fund specific state programs. CDTFA-administered programs account for more than $70 billion annually which in turn supports local essential services such as transportation, public safety and health, libraries, schools, social services, and natural resource management programs through the distribution of tax dollars going directly to local communities.
